Over 660 Graduates Awarded Degrees at 10th Convocation of Shifa Tameer-e-Millat University (STMU)

During the 10th Convocation-2024 of Shifa Tameer-e-Millat University(STMU) which was held in the Jinnah Convention Centre Islamabad graduates were awarded degrees in the fields of Health Sciences, Nursing and Midwifery, Social Sciences and Humanities, Pharmaceutical and Allied Health Sciences.
A Renowned medical practitioner, Prof. Dr. Rizwan Taj, President of Pakistan Medical & Dental Council (PMDC), and Dr. Janet Holt, adjunct foreign faculty of the STMU graced the occasion as the Chief Guest and the Guest of Honor respectively. In their convocation addresses, they enlightened the audiences with words of wisdom appreciated the achievements of students and congratulated their parents.
Chief Guest Dr. Rizwan Taj, in his address to the participants, emphasized the crucial role of education in driving the country’s economic development. He elaborated on how education enhances productivity and efficiency, resulting in the cultivation of skilled manpower essential for steering the economy towards sustainable growth.
Dr. Manzoor H. Qazi, Chancellor, STMU Presided over the Convocation and distributed the degrees among the graduates. Prof. Mohammad Iqbal Khan, Vice Chancellor, STMU in his inaugural speech, welcomed the graduating students, congratulated the graduates, and highlighted the contribution made by the University in the field of higher education. He expected that the graduates would contribute towards the scientific and technological development of the country through their ability, dignity, determination and commitment.
During the convocation ceremony, two graduates were conferred with PhD degrees in Nursing, showcasing their exceptional dedication and expertise. STMU acknowledges the remarkable achievements of its graduates through the presentation of Academic Excellence Medals. A total of 42 medals were granted comprising 26 Gold, 15 Silver, and 1 Research Medal, recognizing excellence across various degree programs.
